『My Dream』 Jocelyn B
I am Jocelyn B.Mellino. I am fourteen years old. I was born on January 01, 1991 in the island of Caohagan, city of Lapu-lapu, Cebu, Philippines. My parents are Gloria Booc and Godofredo Mellino. They had six children. I am the third sibling of the family. I was graduated in my elementary course in Caohagan Elementary School in the year 2004 and I continue my studies in high school in St. Dominic Savio Learning School, by this time I am in 2nd year level/
Since I was a child I don’t like playing and playing around, what I want to do is that always staying at home and waited what my parents command and request because I don’t want that they always shouted my name, because I’m not around. At those times its too hard to live because my parents were sick. During those times my grandma and my grandpa are the only one who take good care of us. Sometimes we can ate twice a day at those time because of lack of income just because my parents are sick and they didn’t have job. So two of my brothers are stopped in studying. And the time come that we had waited for so long is that of my parents well. Because they are free now from their sickness we continued our studies that’s why we are now in this level. And I will promise to my self that I will continue my studies so that I can reach what I want to be in the future.
By the help of Mr. Sakiyama and all NGO’s member and the faith of God, I think I can do it and I can reach it. That’s why I’m very thankful of them. For the coming years or maybe someday after I finish my studies I want to become a good nurse for the people of Caohagan and not only Caohagan people but also other people. I want to give free check-ups and free medicines if I will become a nurse someday. I want to help ti improve our small island, who can help uneducated persons to teach without educated person. And who can prevent sickness of people if no one can give free check-ups and free medicines as what I have known, many professional nurses and doctors didn’t give full service for the patients if the patient doesn’t have money to pay just like poor people. Because I know many prices of the things that we need today were getting higher and higher especially the medicine and I know there are a lot of people cannot afford it.
If ever my ambition will become true I do what I want to do for the secure of the Caohagan people from their sickness. And so for the improvements of our small island, I want to prove and show to all for the coming years after I finish my studies. And now I do what is right, so that I can prove to all, my all promises. Because I know if Caohagan people need my help I also need them. Because without them, I don’t have inspiration in life to help other people. By the way I’m choosing the course nursing because I think without this course maybe many sick people are now doesn’t achieve the wellness in life. As what I can say for me nursing is one of the savior that God given to us so that we can maintain our good health with the help of them. As what they shoe they are like an angel healing people in every sickness they had. So for the future of Caohagan people I hope I can prove it someday and I do my best so that I can reach it.
